Haejin Shim Fujimura is a seasoned attorney with 20 years of experience and serves as outside General Counsel and legal advisor for nonprofit organizations as well as for-profit companies, ranging from startups to publicly traded companies.

Haejin also has extensive experience litigating various civil lawsuits in both federal and states courts and has conducted and guided multiple internal investigations. Based on her successful record of resolving hundreds of disputes, Haejin, as a legal strategist, has helped her clients develop stronger and healthier processes and structures for their governance and operations so that they can move from reactive, inefficient, and unhealthy organizations to proactive, thriving, and healthy ones.

Haejin is actively involved in the legal and nonprofit communities. She has served on the boards of trustees of reputable organizations collectively for over 30 years. She is a frequent speaker on the theme of the integration of faith and work, beauty and justice, and whole person care.

In addition, Haejin is the CEO and a co-founder of Embers International, a global NGO protecting, restoring, and empowering the victims of injustice to end intergenerational exploitation and prevent human trafficking for vulnerable groups, including children born into brothels. She has been involved in various anti-trafficking efforts for over 20 years, including work at International Justice Mission.

Haejin is the founder of Estuary Gallery that creates a cultural ecosystem of art, faith, and humanity. The Estuary incubates Culture Care Creative, Academy Kintsugi, Embers International, and IAMCultureCare.
